Picture perfect venue for your event!

At La Posta, you can have an authentic Roman experience complete with ancient history, elegant spaces, spectacular views and quality service. La Posta used to be J. Paul Getty’s Italian Villa which faces the Mediterranean Sea. It is about 35 minutes to Rome, 25 to Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, and 25 minutes to Civitavecchia Port.

His plan was to turn this former “postal station” into one of the greatest European villas. When he decided to move back to U.S. in the late 1970s, the current owner, Robert Scio purchased the villa and made it his home. Later Scio decided to transform his home into an amazing 19-room hotel right on the Mediterranean. Guests receive very personalized and gracious service from the hotels staff, keeping in line with staying at a fine country estate.

Today, La Posta has its own Roman museum that was discovered during excavations for a swimming pool. There are antiques, artworks, and tapestries filling the underground museum. Not only does this hotel have a museum, but it also has a new spa, all-year swimming pools and tennis courts. La Posta Cesar restaurant, located in the hotel, has been awarded a Michelin star and has become very popular with Romans wishing to dine romantically by the sea.

All types of events are welcome at this location. Anything from a Destination wedding or a Symbolic wedding to a business lunch and everything in between. This is an ideal location not just for its breath-taking beauty, but also for pre- or post-cruise accommodation or travelers wishing to begin or end their Italy trip close to the airport. La Posta is a great welcome and fantastic way to leave Italy. For more information please contact us at info@weddingplannerroma.it
